Oval Office
The Oval Office, named for the long tradition of chapter presidents to reside in the room, is the larger of the two singles on the second floor. It shares a half-bath with the FOB. However, the feature that woos most is its crescent-shaped windows. The Oval Office receives much natural light from these windows, which can have a positive effect on its resident.
In the spring of 2006, the Oval Office was renovated by Ben Chodroff with help from Gregory Szorc, Lucy Zhu, and other friends. Using his first-hand knowledge from renovating the East Wing, he refinished the wood floors, gave the walls a fresh coat of paint, and mounted shelving used to hold his record collection. The Oval Office is now one of the most appealing rooms in the house.
