About Phi Kappa Theta

Charter Our existence began back in 1938 when we were first founded as Theta Psi Kappa Fraternity of the Case Institute of Technology (C.I.T.). A few years later, we became the Alpha Beta chapter of Phi Kappa Fraternity on May 31, 1941. When the national fraternities of Phi Kappa and Theta Kappa Phi merged into Phi Kappa Theta, our chapter followed suit, becoming Ohio Alpha Beta.

For the past sixty years, brothers of Phi Kappa Theta have been at the cutting edge of membership development, programs, and leadership. We are a chapter of excellence, both on the campus of Case Western Reserve University and in our national fraternity. Our awards include:

Our chapter is also actively involved with the National Fraternity. Such brothers include Henry Drak '03, working as a Leadership Consultant and is a Grand Chapter member. Brother Robert Stalder '94 is currently serving on the Board of Trustees and Andrew Hsia '01 is a volunteer serving as President of the Mideast Province.

Phi Kappa Theta seeks to provide its members varied personal experiences including learning to live cooperatively; respecting the opinion and rights of everyone; the acceptance of each other's uniqueness; the value of discipline; loyalty to others and to the organization; an understanding of unity which allows individualism while being part of a group; the acceptance of a fair share of group obligation by assuming individual responsibility; and an understanding of leadership dynamics. Fraternal, Intellectual, Social and Spiritual: these are the ideals of Phi Kap members. If you share these ideals and are looking for an opportunity to develop them, then PKT may be the place for you.

Phi Kappa Theta has over 50 chapters and colonies across the country, ranking us in the middle in terms of size of other fraternities. More than 1,500 men are actively involved in its undergraduate chapters. We have over 50,000 alumni brothers worldwide.
